Product Care

Happy Lamb undergoes a natural felting process within the first 6-8 months of consistent use, during which time the fleece takes on a slightly matted appearance. Spot clean and sun during this time to refresh. After the initial break-in period, Happy Lamb Fleece can be machine washed in warm water. Manually set to soak and spin cycles only. Do not use the wash cycle, which agitates and can ruin your Happy Lamb. For stained items, add a dose of live cultured enzymes (try Bac-Out by Biokleen) during soak. Drape in the sun or warm place to dry. Do not wring or machine dry.

For side sleepers, hugging a body pillow between your legs and arms can provide excellent support and comfort. Utilizing a body pillow can help align your spine, hips, and neck in a neutral position, allowing for a more restful night’s sleep and a more comfortable awakening. Also great for moms-to-be. Pregnancy creates increasing skeletal stress and muscle imbalance as the body works to accommodate the growing weight of the baby. The neutral spine position provided by a body pillow allows the body to relax, realign, and restore through the night.

Sunning your pillow periodically will keep it refreshed and revitalize the wool. Pillow is spot clean only. A separate case is a machine washable in cold water, line dry or tumble dry low.

The wool retains 1% of the naturally occurring lanolin oil, which helps condition the fibers and keep them fluffy and soft for years to come. Most customers find the scent dissipates within a few days.

We also offer a 1”-thick crib version, for infants over three months of age. The crib-size includes cotton elastic straps sewn at each corner to secure the topper to the mattress.
